Intensive Outpatient Program at Glen Oaks Hospital

Intensive Outpatient Program at Glen Oaks Hospital

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Glen Oaks Hospital offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to help support patients facing both behavioral health issues and substance use disorders. These outpatient programs are designed to provide a step down from inpatient hospitalization, or help patients find the stability they need in a less intensive care environment.

Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program

It is important to receive care for a mental health disorder as soon as possible. Our intensive outpatient treatment can help treat mental health disorders such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Mood Disorders
  • Personality Disorders
  • And more

Adults experiencing a mental health issue continue to rise each year. According to National alliance on Mental Illness:

  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year
  • 1 in 20 adults experience serious illness each year

Our IOP sessions use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and more to help keep you out of inpatient treatment and on the path to recovery. The IOP program is a part-time day program that runs three days a week during the day from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Glen Oaks Hospital can help with mental health treatment for adults in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan, Texas area. Don’t hesitate to call us at 903-454-6000 or contact us online.

Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program

Individuals who struggle with drug or alcohol addiction need an alcohol and drug treatment program that focuses on addiction recovery and relapse prevention. At Glen Oaks Hospital, we provide just that, with substance abuse treatment that takes into account your mental health, too.

After all, treating just the drug abuse or withdrawal symptoms does not help you overcome the addiction, and our team is prepared to help work on each individual as a whole — body, spirit and mind.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse most drugs affect the brain’s “reward circuit,” causing euphoria as well as flooding it with the chemical messenger dopamine. A properly functioning reward system motivates a person to repeat behaviors needed to thrive, such as eating and spending time with loved ones.

The surge of dopamine in the reward circuit reminds the brain that this is a pleasurable behavior. This increases the odds of repeating the behavior over and over again. Once a substance abuse issue is identified it’s recommended to seek addiction treatment as soon as possible to help prevent long-term health complications.

Glen Oaks Hospital provides a convenient intensive outpatient treatment to help with adults who are struggling with addiction in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan, Texas, area.
